St. Vincent senior offered admission at West Point
Tim Guilliams, a senior at St. Vincent DePaul High School in Perryville, Mo., has been offered admission to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y. He will be attending the academy as a member of the class of 2011 and is one of about 18 Missouri graduates to earn the distinction. He received his nomination from U.S. Rep. Jo Ann Emerson, and he was notified of his appointment in April. Upon graduation cadets are awarded Bachelor of Science degrees and officer commissions in the Army. They serve on active duty for a minimum of five years. Guilliams is the son of Joe and Rhonda Guilliams; grandson of Jerry and Pat Guilliams, Richard and Dolores Bohnert, all of Perryville.
Airman graduates from basic training in Texas
Air Force Airman Matthew B. Hart graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio. . He is the son of Brett and Susan Hart of Jackson. Hart is a 2005 graduate of Jackson High School.
Rehkop completes Guard combat training
Army National Guard Pvt. Josh K. Rehkop graduated from basic combat training at Fort Sill in Lawton, Okla. He is the son of James and Doris Rehkop of Perryville, Mo. Rehkop graduated in 2002 from Perryville High School, and received an associate degree in 2004 from the Lincoln Technical Institute in Indianapolis.
