Jackson grad reports to air defense school

Joseph Golightly, son of Gary and Judith Golightly of Fruitland, recently completed boot camp and combat training in the U.S. Marine Corps.

Golightly has reported to the Marine detachment at Fort Bliss, Texas, to attend the low-altitude air defense school. He will be trained as a Stinger missile gunner and Avenger system operator at Fort Bliss.

Golightly is a 2000 graduate of Jackson High School.
