The 1997 Midwest Forest Industry Show will be held at the Show Me Center, Sept. 27 and 28. The show is the largest forest industry machinery and equipment exposition in the Midwest and is sponsored by the Missouri Forest Products Association in Jefferson City.

The exposition will showcase the newest forest and wood product technology as well as used equipment for prospective customers. Exhibitors range from dry kilns, pallet machinery, trailers, wood energy equipment, sawmill equipment, notching machines, lift trucks and edgers. The show will also feature the Game of Logging, a training demonstration of safe logging by world-renowned forestry consultant Soren Eriksson. Tim Ard will be conducting the demonstration twice daily.

"We've sold out the inside of the Show Me Center for the first time," said Eric Peters, show director. "We also have more outdoor exhibitors than ever before so this show is something everyone in the industry is going to want to visit."

The Midwest Forest Industry Show is open Friday, Sept. 27 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 28 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
