WOLF LAKE, Ill. -- The ninth annual Christy Lynn Schaefer Memorial Scholarships have been awarded at Shawnee High School in Wolf Lake, Ill.
Recipients from the 1999 Shawnee High School graduating class are Casey Allen Otten of Wolf Lake and Craig Andrew Smith of McClure. Each recipient received a $1,000 award for further education.

The scholarships were announced at commencement June 6.
Recipients were chosen based on outstanding scholastic achievement, church and community involvement, extra-curricular participation, determination, drive and spirit.
The scholarship is given annual in memory of Christy Lynn Schaefer.
