The Citizens for a Better Community of Morley will hold a memorial service at the Old Morley Cemetery at 11 a.m. Saturday in honor of Confederate Civil War veterans buried there. Descendants of the Boutwell family, one of the first to settle in the area, will be on hand to place new stones at family grave sites. Members of the Jefferson Davis Chapter of United Daughters of the Confederacy, Children of the Confederacy and Sons of Confederate Veterans will also be at the memorial service, some in period costume.

The cemetery dates back to the beginning of settlement in the Morley area before the Civil War.
