Melaina's Playland reopens after repairs

Melaina's Magical Playland has reopened after being closed for more than a week for maintenance.

Replacement and cleaning of play surface tiles at the playground at Cape County Park North was expected to be finished Wednesday, but county parks officials announced that day work was taking longer than expected.

The county announced Friday the work was complete, and the all-inclusive playground featuring amenities for children with disabilities again was open to the public.
