Now that all its rubber ground tiles have been replaced, Melaina’s Magical Playland is scheduled to reopen Saturday at Cape County Park North.

Members of the Canadian firm that first installed the tiles three years ago returned in recent weeks to start all over again, because the tiles were falling apart long before they were expected to wear out, Bryan Sander, superintendent of the county parks department, said in a previous story.

The playground has been closed since the end of March. It also was closed for a week last year while the company tried to fix the old tiles.
