Plans are "go" for the third annual Mississippi River Valley Scenic Drive, a 131-mile journey through cities and villages of Southeast Missouri.
The weekend event, scheduled April 24-25, is a self-conducted tour along a designated route that includes a number of special sites of interest.
The tour will be the topic of a special meeting April 7 at the Jackson Public Library at 7 p.m.
"The drive booklets, which describe events and areas along the route, are expected to be available tonight," said Frank Nickell, director of the Center for Regional History, Southeast Missouri State University, which coordinates the annual event.
