Jordis Mize is a senior in the class of 2024 at Meadow Heights High School. She is the daughter of Phillip and Heather Mize and the sister of Damiun Mize.
She is not involved in any extracurricular activities at school, but she does have plenty to do outside of school.
Mize leaves school right after her third-hour class to go straight to work. She is employed at The Butcher Block in Patton. In addition to this job, she also has her own business which involves making T-shirts and car fresheners. She sells T-shirts she has already made or custom-made shirts for customers. She uses this same process with her car fresheners as well.
In the future, Mize plans to go to a trade school or community college to become either a dental assistant or cosmetologist.
Her favorite thing about being a senior is that she's almost into adulthood, but she added that it is "kind of sad at the same time."
Mize described herself as kind, respectful and hard-working. Her friend of about 11 years, Rylee Shelton, describe Mize as self-determined, independent and comical.
Shelton said her favorite thing about Mize is that she "always finds a way to make me laugh, even when I'm upset or sad."
Mize is excited to be finishing high school and embarking on her next journey, even if it's a little sad at the same time. A look into her life shows that she is a kind and caring individual who tries her hardest in all the things she does.
