Jonathan McClard was sentenced to 30 years in the July 10 shooting of another teenager Tuesday before circuit judge David Dolan.
McClard plead guilty on Oct. 9 to shooting Jeremy Voshage three times at a car wash on Shawnee Boulevard in Jackson. Patrick M. McMenamin, attorney for McClard, requested that the 16-year-old receive a dual jurisdiction sentence, allowing him to attend a rehabilitative program, but Dolan ruled against the request.
