MAYMIE WALK

MCGEE -- Funeral service for Maymie B. Walk of McGee will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance. The Rev. Keith Price will officiate, with burial in New Hope/McGee Cemetery.

Friends may call at the chapel from 5:30-8 p.m. Friday.

Walk, 89, died Tuesday, May 6, 1997, at Advance Nursing Center in Advance.

She was born June 17, 1907, at McGee, daughter of John W. and Flora M. McKee Burnley. She and O.A. Walk were married Sept. 27, 1923, in Corning, Ark. He died Aug. 8, 1991.

Walk was a member of Bright Prospect General Baptist Church, and attended Shady Dell Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Claud Walk of McGee; six daughters, Jean Smith of St. Peters, Maxine Davis of Corcoran, Calif., Christine Berrong of McGee, Pauline Kibler and Carol Hamlin of St. Charles, Eula Berrong of St. Ann; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, a granddaughter, a great-grandson, and a great-great-grandson.
