Debra Reid, a 1982 graduate of Southeast Missouri State University, will receive the 1996 Arthur H. Mattingly Award in historic preservation.

The award will be presented at the Historic Preservation Association's spring banquet and lecture Saturday at the Port Cape Girardeau River City Yacht Club.

Reid is curator of the Gov. Bill and Vara Daniel Historic Village and a lecturer in museum studies at Baylor University in Waco, Texas. She earned her bachelor of science degree in historic preservation from Southeast and her master of arts degree in history museum studies from the Cooperstown Graduate Program.

The Mattingly award annually honors a graduate of Southeast's historic preservation program for distinguished contributions in the field.
