Three Southeast Missouri State University students were awarded scholarships at the annual Marketing Club banquet, held recently at the Drury Lodge.
Jayne Jeffries of Poplar Bluff, Lorna Reese of Piedmont and Kimberly Kunz of Creve Coeur received E. Victor Williams scholarships.
Each scholarship will pay the students' full fees for one semester. The scholarship is named for E. Victor Williams, who was employed for 15 years as a Southeast assistant professor of marketing and adviser to the Marketing Club.
He retired from the university in 1983. He died last year.
Funds for the scholarship were raised by the Marketing Club during Williams' tenure.
In addition to the Williams Scholarship, Jeffries was awarded the Hayden Schuetts Marketing Club Scholarship, which will also pay full fees for one semester.
That scholarship is named for Hayden Schuetts who was employed as a marketing instructor at Southeast for 21 years and served concurrently with Williams as adviser to the Marketing Club.
