The Marine Corps League Birthday Ball and league-chartering ceremonies will be held Nov. 10 at Enchanted Gardens in Jackson, Mo.
More than 50 Marines were inducted recently into the Corporal Mason O. Yarbrough Detachment of the U.S. Marine Corps League of Cape Girardeau.
The ball will start with a social hour at 6 p.m. and dinner at 7 p.m. The chartering ceremony will be at 8 p.m., to be followed by a dance.
Cost of the ball is $20 per person. Recommended dress is Marine Corps League uniform -- black trousers, white shirt, black tie and red cover.
All Marines are invited to the annual ball.

The Marine Corps League, founded in 1923 and chartered by an Act of Congress in 1937, is open to honorably discharged, active duty and reserve Marines who have more than 90 days of active service.
The local group already has Missouri members from as far south as New Madrid and Bloomfield, west to Fredericktown, and north to Perryville and is taking new members.
