ROLLA -- Former British prime minister Margaret Thatcher, the first woman to hold that office, will speak Feb. 7 at the University of Missouri-Rolla.
Thatcher will deliver her lecture at 8 p.m. at the school's Gale Bullman Multi-Purpose Building.
Tickets, two per person, will be available to the general public beginning Wednesday at the university's ticket window in the University Center-West. Office hours are from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. For more information call (314) 341-4219.
Thatcher, a Conservative Party member of the British Parliament, held the position of prime minister from May 4, 1979, through Nov. 28, 1990. In 1987, she became the first prime minister in 160 years to be elected to a third consecutive term.
