MARCIA WALLACE TO DELIVER TALK ON BREAST CANCER FIGHT

Seats are still available to see actress Marcia Wallace deliver a message of hope and determination of her fight with breast cancer.

Wallace's free public program starts at 7 tonight at the Drury Lodge in Cape Girardeau.

Wallace is best known for her role as Carol, the irreverent and witty receptionist on "The Bob Newhart Show" and as the voice of Bart Simpson's beleaguered teacher, Ms. Krabapple.

Wallace was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1985, and rather than accept her physician's recommendation that she have a full mastectomy, she opted for a lumpectomy.

In her humorous and informative presentation, Wallace encourages her audience to rethink the implications of a breast cancer diagnosis and to become informed about prevention, detection and treatment of the disease.
