A woman from Marble Hill, Missouri, died from injuries she sustained during a highway accident Saturday morning near Jackson.

According to a crash report on the Missouri State Highway Patrol website, Rachel Brown, 27, was traveling with passengers Katelyn Brown, 7, and Robert Matheny, 41, when they were involved in a head-on collision with another motorist.

Daniele Ravanelli, 59, was traveling east when he crossed the center divider and struck Brown's vehicle.

The accident took place at 10:40 a.m. Saturday one mile west on Jackson on Highway 72. Police and emergency medical personnel responded, and all lanes of traffic were shut down for some time.

Rachel Brown was airlifted to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, where she later was pronounced dead.

The Highway Patrol lists Ravanelli as having minor injuries and Katelyn Brown and Matheny both suffering moderate injuries.
