A Cape Girardeau man suffered serious injuries Thursday night when he fell off the roof of a two-story house in the 100 block of North Park Avenue, authorities said. The Cape Girardeau Fire Department responded to a medical assist call at 11:29 p.m. Thursday night, said Assistant Fire Chief Mark Hasheider. The Cape Girardeau Fire Department responded to a medical assist call at 11:29 p.m. Thursday, said assistant fire chief Mark Hasheider. The caller said the victim fell off a two-story house and was taken by ambulance to Saint Francis Medical Center, where Hasheider said he was treated for serious injuries. Hashheider wasn't sure why the man was on the roof, except that it was his understanding that he and some friends were enjoying the weather. No other details were available.
