KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -- Kansas City police are looking for suspects in the shooting death of a man taking smoke break outside the addiction treatment center where he worked.
Police said the man -- an employee of Renaissance West -- was gunned down early Thursday when he went outside to smoke a cigarette. There he was confronted by three men wearing hooded jackets, and was shot after a short verbal exchange.
The trio fled on foot, and the victim was found down on the sidewalk.
