A Mounds, Ill. man was seriously injured Thursday morning in a one-vehicle accident near Trail of Tears State Park.
The Missouri Highway Patrol said Michael Hollis, 23, was thrown from his car after he lost control of the vehicle and ran off the road.

Hollis was not wearing a seat belt, the patrol said.
He was taken to Southeast Missouri Hospital where he was reported in fair condition late Thursday.
The accident occurred at 12:35 a.m. along Route 177, two miles north of the park.
