JONESBORO, Ill. -- A Ware, Ill., man has been sentenced to nine years in prison for his role in committing multiple arsons.
Corey E. Iman, 20, was sentenced Wednesday to nine years in the Illinois Department of Corrections in connection with a string of fires in Ware in January and March 2012. Iman was sentenced after pleading guilty to two counts of residential arson, a Class 1 felony in Illinois, according to a news release issued by the Union County State's Attorney's Office.
Iman was arrested in March 2012 following an investigation by Illinois State Police and the Union County Sheriff's office, the release said.
