COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) -- Columbia police say a 25-year-old pedestrian was injured after he was run over twice Monday night.
The first car hit Troy Boerner about 11:30 p.m., injuring his arm. Police say the woman driving the dark-colored four-door sedan left the scene.
Boerner was struck a second time -- this time in the lower leg -- when he crawled into the street to alert other drivers so they could help him.
Someone had stopped to help Boerner just before he was struck the second time by a different car that had driven through the intersection. The woman driving that car has not been charged.
Police continue to investigate.
Boerner, of Foxfield, Colo., was taken to a local hospital to be treated. Police say they do not know the extent of his injuries.
