CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Chaffee firefighters rescued a man Wednesday from his burning home at 508 N. 3rd St. The man, around 50 years old, was responsive when pulled from his home and was immediately transported to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, according to Chaffee Fire Department assistant chief Rob Jenkins. Chaffee firefighters arrived on scene around 5 p.m., extinguishing the blaze in about 40 minutes. The victim was found in a back bedroom.
