Man in custody after McDonald's robbery

A Cairo, Illinois, man faces charges of robbery and armed criminal action after police say he robbed a Cape Girardeau McDonald's restaurant Monday morning.

Otha Don Watkins III, 32, was arrested on foot south of the restaurant at 1925 Broadway minutes after he allegedly entered it around 3:15 a.m. Monday, displayed a handgun and made away with an undisclosed amount of money, said Cape Girardeau police spokesman Cpl. Darin Hickey. Officers also recovered a firearm, Hickey said.

Watkins is in custody on a $150,000 bond.
