A victim receiving treatment at a Cape Girardeau hospital said he was shot at, and flying glass from a car window pierced by the bullet caused his injuries.
But the victim would not give Cape Girardeau police information about the attacker.
The 24-year-old Cape Girardeau man was near Hackberry and South Ellis streets at 4:30 a.m. Sunday when several shots were fired at his vehicle, at least one hitting the car's window glass and causing his injuries, he told police.
Cape Girardeau Police Department public information officer Adam Glueck said police are investigating the attack, but the victim has been uncooperative. The vehicle was moved after the shooting, Glueck said.
