Man hospitalized after shot twice in Sikeston

SIKESTON, Mo. -- A Sikeston man was hospitalized after being shot early Monday morning.

The Sikeston Department of Public Safety responded about 1:30 a.m. to a call reporting a man shot in the 800 block of Mary Street. According to the department, the victim, 34, was shot twice in the abdomen at his home and was taken by ambulance to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau with non-life-threatening injuries.
