ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Authorities are investigating a possible kidnapping after a man is found alive in the trunk of a car at Lambert Airport in St. Louis. ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Authorities are investigating a possible kidnapping after a man is found alive in the trunk of a car at Lambert Airport in St. Louis.

The man was found Monday night at the East Terminal. The car was parked in the parking garage.

A passer-by heard something coming from the trunk and notified airport police. Officers and firefighters were able to open the trunk and found the man inside, tied up.

The man told police he had been abducted from Skokie, Ill., a suburb of Chicago. He was not seriously hurt.

Skokie authorities say they have found some inconsistencies in the man's story.
