Darren G. Pope, 52, is now facing a possible fifth charge that he was driving while intoxicated, when a Jeep he was driving went off County Road 150 and flipped about 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol preliminary crash report. Additional charges include leaving the scene of an accident, careless driving and bypassing an ignition lock required as part of his chronic-offender status.

Pope suffered moderate injuries in the crash and was taken to a hospital. He was arrested and released about an hour after the crash, the patrol said.
