ANNA, Ill. -- A man who made a Wednesday afternoon escape from a rehab facility in Anna was in federal custody Thursday.
According to Union County Sheriff David Livesay, the man's name hasn't been released, but he was undergoing treatment at Fellowship House, a rehab facility for substance abuse offenders.
The man also was wanted on a federal warrant for an undisclosed matter, and U.S. marshals and Union County sheriff's deputies arrived at Fellowship House about 3 p.m. to take him into federal custody. Upon seeing the law enforcement officials, the man fled the facility and ran into a wooded area, Livesay said.
Livesay said the man was picked up about 10:30 p.m. by Union County sheriff's deputies after a manhunt when he was seen walking in Anna.
