Cape Girardeau Central High School was locked down about 8:30 p.m. Monday when a trespasser threatened to kill multiple people, police said.
Patrick Alan Woolhouse Sr., 53, of Jackson was charged with making a terrorist threat, a felony, and trespassing. Cape Girardeau police arrested him Monday.
Woolhouse was encountered by two school janitors, according to a probable-cause statement filed by Cape Girardeau patrolman Amanda Rhodes.
One allowed him to enter because the baseball team was practicing at the time.
He told them he was there for military training in the school gym and then later to meet his pastor.
The janitors asked Woolhouse to leave, according to the document.
Surveillance footage shows Woolhouse sprinting toward them and then throwing his bag at one of them.
The janitors said Woolhouse charged at one of them and said he was going to kill them.
When one janitor took out his phone, Woolhouse said he would kill the responding officers, according to the statement.
