Man convicted of child molestation sentenced to 10 years in prison
A Jackson man was sentenced to 10 years in prison by Cape Girardeau County Circuit Judge David Dolan on a first-degree child molestation conviction, according to a news release from the Cape Girardeau County Prosecuting Attorney's office. Raymond J. Clements, 69, pleaded guilty in August of molesting a girl 25 to 30 times when she was ages 6 to 10 years old. Clements admitted to the molestation in an interview with police, according to the news release.
The case was heard in Mississippi County on a change of venue.
