KENNETT, Mo. -- The suspect in the weekend shooting of Kennett resident was arrested in Jonesboro, Ark., Monday morning, authorities said.
Aaron Meadows, 22, of Kennett is being charged with first-degree assault and armed criminal action, with a bond set at $100,000.
Kennett police chief Barry Tate said the shooting incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Police found Roderick Wheeler, 30, of Kennett, wounded in his back, with an exit wound above his navel.
Wheeler was treated at a St. Louis area hospital and was last listed in stable condition.
