JACKSON, Mo. -- A 23-year-old man charged with abducting and abusing a 4-year-old girl last fall will continue to undergo mental examinations for another month, a judge said Wednesday.

Samuel Farrow Jr.'s attorney David Roth asked for another 30 days to complete examinations of his client by a Kansas City, Mo., psychiatrist. Associate Circuit Judge Michael Bullerdieck granted an extension until June 20.

Farrow of Jackson has been charged with 13 criminal violations for the Nov. 2 abduction of a girl through the bedroom window of the trailer home where she lived with her family in Scott City.

Evaluators with the Missouri Department of Mental Health had received an additional 60 days to examine Farrow earlier this year.
