COLUMBIA, Mo. -- A Kansas City man is accused of using counterfeit money to post a $500 bond at the Columbia Police Department.

A federal grand jury indicted Andrew Wieschhaus on the charges Friday.

Columbia police have said that Wieschhaus, 24, implicated himself in passing more than $2,000 in counterfeit $100 bills in Columbia and Jefferson City, Mo.

Police arrested the former Columbia resident last week and transferred him to the custody of federal officials.
