KENNETT, Mo. -- A Malden, Missouri, woman charged in the death of her child made another appearance in court Wednesday and requested a change of judge.
Mary Patricia Tucka, the attorney for suspect Tina Burton, is requesting Judge Stephen Sharp. On Wednesday, she appeared before Circuit Judge Robert Mayer.
Burton is charged with a number of felony counts, including second-degree murder, over the death of her 5-year-old daughter. On May 29, Judge Joe Satterfield found sufficient evidence was presented at the preliminary hearing to proceed with a trial.
If Sharp accepts the case, he will set Burton's next court date.
