MALDEN, Mo. -- A Malden man has been charged with three separate felony counts for drug related offenses following an ongoing investigation by the Malden Police Department, Missouri State Highway Patrol Division of Drug and Crime Control, Bootheel Drug Task Force and the Dunklin County Sheriff's Department.

Court records indicate that, Don Luke Robinson Jr., 27, was charged through the Dunklin County Prosecuting Attorney's Office on Monday with three separate class B felonies for distribution, delivery or manufacture of a controlled substance.

The charges came after a confidential informant with the Missouri State Highway Patrol Division of Drug and Crime Control helped take Robinson down by making purchases of crack cocaine from him over a period of several weeks.

Dunklin County Prosecuting Attorney Jonce Chidister said that Robinson is in the Dunklin County Justice Center on a $50,000 bond as a result of the charges.

Robinson appeared in court for his initial arraignment on Tuesday before Circuit Court Judge John C. Spielman, where he requested additional time to acquire an attorney.

According to Chidister, Robinson is set to appear in court on Tuesday for a council status update, which will give Robinson the opportunity to let the judge and prosecutor know if he will be represented in court and, if so, who will represent him.
