The Main Street Overlay project moves ahead Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2012 with Nip Kelley Equipment workers constructing curbs and gutters just north of the Broadway intersection. The 2010 voter-approved Transportation Trust Fund IV is paying for the roughly $300,000 contract that also includes a repair of inlets, street patching, additional drainage facilities, sidewalks and a new asphalt surface. The work will stretch north to the casino site and should be substantially finished by Nov. 1 to coincide with the opening of the casino. The project's completion date is Feb. 1.
