The local Mothers Against Drunk Driving Community Action Team will hold a Candlelight Vigil of Remembrance tonight to commemorate the memory of those who have been killed or injured by drunk drivers.
The vigil will be held at 5:30 p.m. at the Cape Girardeau Police Department. Cape Girardeau County Prosecuting Attorney Morley Swingle and Cape Girardeau Chief of Police Richard Hetzel will be the guest speakers.
Ornaments with the names of the victims of drunk drivers will be placed on a Christmas tree in the lobby of the Cape Girardeau Police Department and will remain on display throughout the holiday season.
This is the third year for the MADD Candlelight Vigil.
