A bus carrying Lynwood Baptist Church youth home from youth camp was involved in an accident Friday near Bolivar.

Two people were injured in the crash.

The young people were returning from a week-long youth camp at Southwest Baptist College.

According to an accident report from Missouri State Highway Patrol, Michael C. Ruzicka, 39, of Brighton was traveling south on Mo. Highway 13. He was driving a Ford tractor which was pulling a hay bine.

Philip A. Barnhart, 68, of Cape Girardeau was driving the bus which was also traveling south.

Police said as Barnhart attempted to pass the tractor, the bus struck the hay bine causing the tractor to overturn and the hay bine to separate from it.

Ruzicka was taken to St. John's Hospital in Springfield, where a hospital spokesman said he is listed in stable condition.

From the bus, 15-year-old Michael Martin of McClure, Ill. was taken to the emergency room at Citizen's Memorial Hospital at Bolivar, where he was treated and released.
