The Lutheran Home Retirement Center is expanding.
"We're adding 62 new residential beds," said Janice Unger, administrator of the facility, located at 2825 Bloomfield Road.
The new beds will be located in a new free-standing building on the campus,.

The expansion is expected to be completed within nine months to a year.
This will give the center a total of 131 residential care beds, to go along with 248 skilled nursing beds.
The Lutheran Home is a full-service facility which provides all types of nursing care. Also available at the complex are apartments for senior citizens.
