The fifth annual appearance of the Longhorn World Championship Rodeo is scheduled for Feb. 14-16 at the Show Me Center.

Some of the world's best cowboys will compete for points in six events, including bareback bronc riding, steer wrestling, saddle bronc riding, cowgirl barrel racing, calf roping and bull riding. The rodeo is sanctioned by the International Professional Rodeo Association.

Other attraction at this year's rodeo include the Longhorn Pony Express trick and fancy riders, and rodeo clowns. In addition, one pro bull rider will attempt to ride one of the challenge bonus bulls. If he's successful, he will collect $500 to $5,000 in bonus money.

Rodeo performances are scheduled at 8 p.m. on Feb. 14 and 15 and at 2 p.m. on Feb. 16. Tickets are $9 for the Feb. 14 show, and $12 and $10 for the Feb. 15 and 16 shows. For further ticket information, call the Show Me Center box office at 651-5000.
