CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Glenneta Vogelsang and Patricia J. Crossno recently attended the official visit in St. Louis of Ladies VFW Auxiliary National President Frances Booth to the State of Missouri. Mrs. Booth is from Cape Elizabeth, Maine.

Following the presentation of district colors to welcome Mrs. Booth, a reception was held.

She has initiated a new award program, which will honor two outstanding young people ages 12-15, who have provided valuable volunteer services to their communities.

Mrs. Booth has served in the five national offices leading to the presidency. She is involved in many volunteer and community service activities. Her husband is a veteran of the U.S. Navy and is senior vice commander of VFW Post 832 in South Portland.

The Booths have five children, nine grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
