LOCAL STUDENTS AWARDED CURATORS SCHOLARS AWARDS

M. Christine Conklin of Cape Girardeau and Christopher A. Bucher of Kelso have been awarded University of Missouri Curators Scholars awards. Scholarship recipients must score at or above the 90th percentile on a standardized college entrance test and rank in the top 3 percent of their graduating class.

After graduating from Jackson High School this spring, Conklin, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Conklin, plans to study music at the University of Missouri-Columbia. After graduating from Notre Dame High School this spring, Bucher, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bucher, plans to study engineering at the University of Missouri-Columbia.
