Federal prosecutors won a guilty plea Monday from a Cape Girardeau man accused of selling crack to an undercover officer. Christopher M. Depree, 26, will be sentenced on Nov. 14 by U.S. District Judge Jean Hamilton. Depree faces up to 40 years in prison and a fine of up to $2 million. Depree was arrested after selling 6.2 grams of crack to an undercover police officer outside of a Cape Girardeau apartment complex, U.S. Attorney Catherine Hanaway said in a news release. Depree had two previous convictions in state court for selling drugs. He also was placed on probation in March for two separate felony charges of failure to pay child support.
