A town-hall meeting featuring local elected officials will be tonight at the Cape Girardeau Public Library.
The event, hosted by the League of Women Voters of Southeast Missouri, the Cape Girardeau Area Chamber of Commerce and the Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce, will include state representatives Donna Lichtenegger and Kathy Swan, Cape Girardeau County Presiding Commissioner Clint Tracy, Cape Girardeau Mayor Harry Rediger and Jackson Mayor Barbara Lohr.
The event will begin at 7 p.m.
Organizer Janice Miller said the participants will be asked to give opening statements, including a status report and plans for their area of representation. The public then will be asked to give officeholders questions and comments.
