Local candidates should contact newspaper

With the April 7 election approaching, the Southeast Missourian is contacting candidates in contested races in Cape Girardeau, Scott, Perry and Bollinger counties so they may be included in our election questionnaire section April 5.

If you are seeking office and have not been contacted by the Southeast Missourian, please email managing editor Lindsay Jones at ljones@semissourian.com with the words "local election candidate" in the subject line.

The questionnaires will inform readers about candidates' backgrounds and goals for the office.

The newspaper will email a link for the questionnaires, which are filled out online. The questionnaires will be published online and in print. Deadline for submission is March 31.
