LIVE WIRES TO MEET SATURDAY

NEW MADRID -- An informational meeting will be held Saturday for anyone interested in becoming a member of The Live Wires or auditioning for their upcoming show, "Grease."

The Live Wires is a division of the Dixie Arts Council open to youths 17 and under.

The meeting will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Dixie Arts Theatre in New Madrid. Come prepared to audition.

"Grease" will open at 7 p.m. Oct. 4 at the theater.

Performers will be joined by dancers from the Patti Simmons School of Dance in Sikeston.

In addition to cast members, more dancers, backup singers and some "off-stage" personnel are needed.

Rehearsals will be held mostly on weekends.
