James Litzelfelner Jr. has announced that he will run for a Jackson Board of Aldermen seat in the upcoming 2004 election. Litzelfelner will look to replace current alderman Joe Bob Baker. Litzelfelner will look to replace current alderman Joe Bob Baker.

Litzelfelner is currently serving on the city's planning and zoning commission. He has served on the Jackson Park Board, is involved with youth sports and is a sideline reporter for Jackson High School football radio broadcasts.

Litzelfelner graduated from Jackson High School and attended Southeast Missouri State University. He is a member of the First Baptist Church of Jackson and is a licensed real estate agent.

He had 10 years of active duty in the Air Force.

Aldermen candidates can officially file for the election on Dec. 16.
