ORAN -- Funeral service for Leroy Moore, Oran Route 2, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran. The Rev. Robert Gibson will officiate, with burial in New Morning Star Cemetery in Haywood City.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 1 p.m. Sunday.

Moore, 82, died Sunday, March 5, 1995, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

He was born Aug. 24, 1912, in Little Rock, Ark., son of Leroy and Martha Burley Moore Sr. He married the former Ruth Jones.

Moore had worked for Streeter Farm in Bell City.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, David Jones of Oran, Otis Burley of Houston, Texas; two stepsons, Alfred Franklin of Haywood City, Donald Jones of Mounds, Ill.; three stepdaughters, Burnice Muldune of Peoria, Ill., Mary Eatmon of Grand Rapids, Mich., Lucy Maze of Paducah, Ky.; 27 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren, and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
