Leopold woman sentenced to 18 months for bank fraud

A Leopold, Mo., woman on Monday was sentenced in federal court to 18 months in prison on one count of felony bank fraud.

Crystal Renee Elfrink pleaded guilty in December and appeared before district judge John A. Ross on Monday, according to a news release sent from the United States Attorney's Office.

With her plea, Elfrink admitted to making fraudulent withdrawals from bank accounts she managed for her aunt, causing the woman to lose more than $120,000.
